Monday Essentials: People Helping People Fundraiser at Tavern in the Square
Five things to know about this upcoming week.

Welcome to Monday Essentials, our weekly column taking a look at the week ahead. Here are five things to know about this week:
1) Comfortable summer days
The outlook for this week's weather looks good. According to the National Weather Service after some rain and possible thunderstorms today and tonight we can expect a week of mostly sunny skies with temps in the low 80s. The nights will be comfortable for sleeping with lows in the low 60s.
2) Bow hunting
Bow hunting for deer in the Landlocked Forest has been approved by the Board of Selectmen but the details on the rules have yet to be ironed out. Join the discussion this Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the Town Hall Annex basement meeting room when the Board of Selectmen subcommittee on the subject, led by Selectman Daniel Grattan, meets to continue the dialogue.
3) Tasting at the Tavern
People Helping People, Inc. is holding a fundraiser tonight from 5 to 9 p.m. at Tavern in the Square. Donate $20 and get a appetizer buffet and access to a cash bar. Come down and support the Burlington Food Pantry and the other programs run by People Helping People.
4) Puppet fun
The Burlington Public Library is holding a free puppet show for all ages on Thursday at 2 p.m. There will be three stories all in one show: The Three Bears, Three Billy Goats Gruff, and the Three Little Pigs, performed by the Library's talented teen volunteers.
5) Lighting in photography
Brogen Photography Studio is holding a hands-on photography workshop focused on lighting this Saturday at 1 p.m. Learn how to make the best photos you can with light and your digital camera. Click here for more information.
