Today is Wednesday, August 7. Here are five things to know:
1) Sunny and warm
Looks like a nice day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect sunny skies with high near 79 degrees. Mostly cloudy tonight with a low around 62.
2) Bow hunting
Bow hunting for deer in the Landlocked Forest has been approved by the Board of Selectmen but the details on the rules have yet to be ironed out. Join the discussion this today at 5 p.m. in the Town Hall Annex basement meeting room when the Board of Selectmen subcommittee on the subject, led by Selectman Daniel Grattan, meets to continue the dialogue.
3) Family movie night
Burlington Recreation is holding a family movie night on the Town Commons tonight. The movie starts at dusk.
4) Fun with Legos
The Burlington Public Library is holding a Lego Club at 1 p.m. today. The Library supplies the Legos and you supply the imagination. Open for children in grades K-5.
5) Storytime
The library is also holding a family storytime at 10:30 a.m. today. Come and enjoy delightful digging stories and crafts every Wednesday morning. The whole family is welcome, but younger children may require assistance from parents when doing the crafts.
