No Timeframe On When Burlington Power Will Be Restored

BURLINGTON, MA -- EverSource was reporting that 903 of its 11,774 customers were still without power at 2:45 pm Friday afternoon. The widespread power outages in town resulted in a second straight day of cancellations by Burlington Public Schools.

Unlike National Grid, the state's other dominant electric utility, EverSource does not provide updates on when power resource. Residents can, however, sign up for text alerts from EverSource about the progress of restoration efforts.

Several Burlington residents posting on social media who had already signed up for the EverSource text alerts have posted on social media that they are being told their power service will be restored by 6 pm on Saturday.
