Police: Dog Struck by Motorcycle; Shoplifting Arrests; Speeding Dirt Bikes
Excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Friday, Oct. 16
At 1:09 a.m. suspicious person on Wayside Road. Michael S. Whitney, address listed as homeless, arrested on an outstanding warrant.
At 10:57 a.m., low-hanging wire on Hidden Valley Drive at Lexington Street. Utility company notified.
At 2:20 p.m., fire reported on Mall Road. Brush fire; Fire Department notified.
At 4:40 p.m., motor vehicle stop in area of Caroline Street and Cathy Road. Officer reported operator. 22, to be summonsed for operating after suspension and marked lanes violation.
At 6:20 p.m., theft in progress at Macy’s. Caller reported loss prevention attempting to detain suspect. Sean M. Griffin, of Leominster, arrested for larceny over $250.
At 10:52 p.m., theft at Macy’s. Lindsay M. Lawton, 31, of Woburn, arrested for shoplifting, third offense.
Police: Scams Resurfacing in Burlington
Saturday, Oct. 17
At 2:39 p.m., complaint of dirt bikes speeding towards the reservoir.. Dirt bikes reported in area of Mill Street and Town Line Road. Bikes gone on arrival.
At 4:14 p.m., animal complaint. Caller reported a dark- colored motorcycle hit a dog and then kept going. Last direction of travel was Mill St towards Winn St. Dog suffered minor injuries, owner taking dog to the vet. Unable to locate motorcycle.
Sunday, Oct. 16
At 9:21 p.m., lost wallet at Del Frisco’s Grille reported. Woman came to station to report she lost her wallet last night. Credit card was used. Her Cambridge Savings Bank debit card was used Sunday morning at 4 a.m.
