Police: Flim-Flam Cons Cashier Out of $96; Complaint About Loud Macaws and Parrots; Drunk Driving Arrests

Excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log.

Friday, Sept. 25

At 12:00 p.m., warrant arrest at Executive Park. Prince Y. Kesselie, 23, of Lowell, arrested on Superior Court warrant.

At 2:44 p.m., assist citizens on Ivy Lane. Female reported her neighbor yelled at her for letting her parrots outside on the porch in their cage while she was gone. Neighbors complained about excessive pet noise, particularly from Macaws that are kept outside. Advised reporting party that she could face fines from the animal control officer if noise complaints continued. Advised neighbors to place complaints with the animal control officer rather than engage with neighbor.

At 5:44 p.m., identity fraud. Out-of-town person reported that someone was using her identity in regards to a job here in Massachusetts with a company by the name of Hunter Protection Services. Hunter Protective Services is located here in Burlington. Spoke with the owner of the company and was advised that he would check into the

situation.

At 5:37 p.m., motor vehicle crash with injuries on Cambridge Street. Pamela Andrews, of Hampton Falls, N.H., arrested for operating under the influence of liquor, second offense; unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle; and state highway traffic violation.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Saturday, Sept. 26

At 7:20 a.m., vandalism at Fox Hill Elementary School. Caller reported damage to the school sign. Main entrance sign was broken in half, appears to be malicious damage.

At 11:53 a.m., youth complaint. Walk-in from Beacon Street. Mother reported that her 8-year-old daughter has been getting spit on while traveling on the bus to school. School officials were aware of the ongoing situation, according to the woman. Follow-up investigation in progress.

At 2:10 p.m., mulch fire in area of Grant Avenue and Moran Avenue. Fire dispatched. Police officers put out initial small fire using cruiser fire extinguisher.

At 3:35 p.m. flim-flam at Panera Bread. Manager reported that two males came into the store and were able to flim-flam the cashier out of $96. May have done the same thing in the Party Store.

At 4:56 p.m., motor vehicle complaint in area of Cambridge Street and Mall Road. Caller reported man passed out inside vehicle stopped at traffic light. Christopher R. Cordeiro, 22, of Burlington, arrested for operating under the influence of liquor, possession of an open container of alcohol, and failure to wear a seatbelt.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
