Rich Dibona Chosen As Town Meeting Member In Precinct 3
Dibona was selected ahead of Lourdes Genao in a vote by 11 Town Meeting members, filling the seat vacated by Lucy Damiani, who stepped down.

BURLINGTON, MA — The Town of Burlington has filled its final Town Meeting member seat as Rich Dibona was chosen Thursday as a member in Precinct 3.
Dibona (8 votes) finished ahead of Lourdes Genao (3 votes) in a roll call vote by 11 Town Meeting members from Precinct 3 at Town Hall. Dibona will serve for a year before a longer-term member is elected in next year's Annual Town Election.
The seat in Precinct 3 was open after Lucy Damiani decided to step down as a Town Meeting member.

"A thank you to all the candidates who showed interest in participating even if they didn't get selected," Warfield said. "We will be looking for them to participate with the town in other areas in the future."
On Monday, Town Meeting members from Precinct 4 had met to settle a tie from the April 1 election and choose a replacement for a retiring member.
At that meeting, Kevin Spielberger was selected ahead of Ellen Ferguson after the pair had tied on Election Night.
Becky Norum then was chosen ahead of Ferguson and Gerald Hopkins to fill the seat vacated by Joan Hastings.
Norum will serve for one year before a longer-term member is chosen at next year's Annual Town Election.
Warfield said residents soon will be able to find an updated list of Town Meeting members on the Town of Burlington website.
