Snow In Burlington: What You Need To Know

We have all the details on what you need to know to weather this weekend's storm.

BURLINGTON, MA -- Weather forecasters say Massachusetts could get as much as one to two feet of snow this weekend. Here's what you need to know to before the storm hits Burlington. We'll update this story with cancellations as we hear of them, but, in the meantime, keep the following in mind:

Burlington does not typically declare snow emergencies, as it bans on-street parking between the hours of midnight and 6 am between November 1 and April 1 and at any time when snow or icy conditions are present to make sure it can clear snow from roadways. Vehicles that violate the winter parking ban will be ticketed and towed by the Police Department at the owner's expense.

Burlington begins plowing when snow reaches a depth of 2-3 inches. More information, including an online form to report damage caused by plows to private property, is located on the town's Website. Sand is available for Residents of Burlington at the Highway Division yard. If you have any questions, please call the Highway Division at (781) 270-1676/1677.
