Teen Charged In Shooting Outside Burlington Apartment Building: Police
When police arrested the 16-year-old suspect, he was allegedly carrying a loaded gun, a large amount of cash, and marijuana.
BURLINGTON, MA — A juvenile suspect has been charged in connection with a shooting earlier this month, according to a statement from Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Burlington Chief of Police Thomas Browne. The 16-year-old is accused of firing a gun outside a Burlington apartment complex.
State police found the suspect in Boston on Tuesday and arrested him. When he was arrested, he was in the backseat of a vehicle carrying a loaded gun, a large amount of cash, and marijuana, according to prosecutors.
He has been charged in Suffolk County with carrying a loaded firearm, possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition without an FID card, possession of a large-capacity feeding device, and possession with intent to distribute a class D substance.

In Middlesex County, he was charged with armed assault to murder, attempted assault and battery with a firearm, and discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a building.
The incident occurred Oct. 17. A call reporting a car crash at Building 5 at the Avalon apartment complex at 1 Arboretum Way came in at 8:39 p.m.

Immediately after, a call came in reporting gunfire in the same area.
No injuries were reported. Investigators said at the time that three people were involved in the crime.
Gunfire broke out at the same residential complex back in August. In that incident, 21 shots were fired into the apartment building from two separate weapons. No one was injured.
The vehicle used in that shooting was stolen out of Everett, police said.
