UPDATED: Trees, Wires Down and Accidents Throughout Burlington

BURLINGTON, MA - Friday’s snow has not only made a mess of the roads, but it’s also taking down trees throughout the area.

Here is what we have reports of so far in Burlington Friday:

  • Burlington Police just before noon reported there is a tree hanging on wires on Purity Springs Road. Eversource has been notified and police are en route.
  • 11:55 a.m. - Tree branch down on South Bedford Street by Marvin Field. Burlington DPW notified.
  • 11:56 a.m. - Report of wires down on Baron Park Lane.
  • Noon - A tree branch is down on Mark Street. Burlington DPW notified.
  • Noon - A branch is down in the roadway on Wilmington Road. Burlington DPW notified.
  • 12:20 p.m. - Reports of wires down on Cutting Lane. Burlington Police are en route.
  • 12:25 p.m. - Reports of a tree down in roadway on Harris Drive by Chandler Road. Burlington DPW notified.
  • 12:30 p.m. - Reports of a tree on power lines on Mellin Street.
  • 12:33 p.m. - Report of a disable motor vehicle on Cambridge Street by I-95N.
  • 12:37 p.m. - Reports of tree in roadway on University Avenue.
  • 12:38 p.m. - Chandler Road closed due to a downed tree.
  • 12:48 p.m. - Reports of a tree on power lines on Great Pines Avenue.
  • 12:49 p.m. - Reports of a tree on power lines on Mill Street. Eversource notified.

Officials are reminding residents to never go near downed power lines.
