'This Old House' to Highlight Charlestown Home for 35th Anniversary Season
The show is set to premiere later this week.

PBS’s renowned home improvement show “This Old House” is set to kick off its 35th season this week with a focus on an old Charlestown home.
The new season will begin by highlighting renovations to an 1950 Greek Revival Rowhouse in Charlestown, as well as a 1966 Colonial Revival in Lexington.

The Charlestown home to be featured is located right down the hill from the Bunker Hill Monument, and upgrades to the home to be featured include “crumbling retaining walls, a 1980s kitchen, a broken down and leaking master shower, inefficient windows an old heating system and failing roof,” according to an announcement about the episode.
The upgrades to the Charlestown home will span eight episodes that will begin on PBS on Thursday, Oct. 2. For local times and listings, visit thisoldhouse.com.
