100% of the funds raised by our team go directly to research at Dana-Farber that enables gifted scientists to achieve better cure rates and to enhance patients’ quality of life. I love the spirit of the Boston Marathon and this will be my first time running since becoming a mom and since the bombings. I want to show my kids what it means to be Boston Strong!
I am also running in honor of my kids’ Grandma Katie who passed away in 1983 from breast cancer.
Charity: Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge. Click here to view the charity page and/or to make a donation.
Training Tip: Cross-train! My best races came when I was doing triathlons and biking and swimming along with running. With all the snow this winter, I added 1-2 spin classes (at Charlestown Cycling Club) during the week, which really helped.
