Got a Public Safety Concern?
Tonight's the time to air it -- at the Neighborhood Council's monthly public safety meeting.

Today is Tuesday, Nov. 15. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. The is happening tonight in the police station. Got a question or concern about a police issue -- this is the place to take it. I've been told the on-going debate about Main Street might be addressed there. For details, click .
2. Leaves and lawns. I know neither are much of a burden in urban areas like Charlestown, but there was a great piece in the Globe recently that made me think differently about raking. (Hint: someone in the story suggests that mowing dead leaves is better for healthy grass.) Check it out.

3. There's another Neighborhood Council meeting set for tonight -- this one is an , related to the property located at 44 Sullivan St. The meeting will be held at the Knights of Columbus at 7 p.m. I don't have any other details on what this means, but if you live nearby 44 Sullivan, you might want to reach out to the city to see how this will affect you.
4. File this under interesting state story that is flying under radar. There's a growing trend in Massachusetts to "schedule" your child's birth -- and some women have elected to deliver their babies by C-section before their 39th week. State hospitals and doctors are starting to take a stance against this. You can listen to the whole piece at WBUR.
