Police: Medford Man Tried to Take Tool Box from Charlestown Pickup Truck

A Medford man was arrested in Charlestown Wednesday night after a witness spotted him trying to break into a pick-up trucks toolbox, according to Boston Police.

About 11 p.m. a caller reported to police seeing two men looking into vehicles along Monument Avenue, according to a Boston Police blog post. When an officer arrived the two men quickly separated, and neither would say whether they lived in the area, according to police.

Police contacted the caller who reported the incident, who said they saw Donahue unsuccessfully try to open a tool box in installed in the bed of a pick-up truck, police said.
The Boston Police post did not say whether the second suspect faced any charges.
