Police Reports: Police Pickup Heroin, Crack and 'Green Pills' Outside Bunker Hill Mall

In other police news, a man received multiple stab wounds on Vine Street over the weekend.

These reports were collected from the Boston Police Department and took place within Charlestown's District, A-15. The time and place of the alleged crimes are listed. Persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Wednesday, April 20

  • Michael D. Ford was arrested on a charge of unlawful firearm/dangerous weapon possession outside 153 Bunker Hill St. Officers observed Ford entering an apartment in the area and recognized him as a subject of outstanding warrants. Officers knocked on the door, saw Ford on a couch and ordered him to his feet, according to police reports. He attempted to reach into his pocket -- police stopped him and retrieved a silver "Cheeta" butterfly-style knife from his pocket. He was arrested in connection to a felony warrant issued for larceny committed on Dec. 30, 2010. He was also charged with unlawful possession of a dangerous weapon, trespassing as well as failure to appear in court. Ford has no known address, according to police reports. 
  • Jillyan Flaherty, of Braintree, was arrested on a charge of drug possession (Class B) at 153 Bunker Hill St. around 3 p.m.  
  • Police responded to a report of larceny (under $200) at 7 Cross St. around 9 a.m. A victim reported that two 20-inch black fiberglass earns were stolen from her front steps. Police responded to a second, unrelated report of larceny (over $200) at 150 3rd Ave. at 6:30 p.m.  And officers responded to another report of larceny (under $200) from a building around 8:30 p.m. at 75 3rd Ave.  
  • Police responded to reports of vandalism at 34 Omeara court at 2:20 p.m. and at 57 Polk St. around 7:56 p.m.

  • Police responded to a report of assault and battery around 9:30 a.m. at 50 Tufts St. 
  • A pizza delivery woman was a reportedly robbed by three men outside 33 Omeara Court, according to police. Around 9:30 p.m., she arrived to Omeara Court with three pizzas. She told officers she was approached by three men who took the pizzas from her and fled the area. No further details were available.
  • Police responded to a report of auto theft at 9 p.m. at 41 Union St.
  •  Police responded to a report of vandalism at 11 p.m. at 66 O'Brien Court.

Friday, April 22 

  • Police responded to several reports of larceny from a motor vehicle (over $200) on Saturday night. The calls came in from victims on Corey Street, 1st Avenue, Medford Street and Ferrin Street.

  • Police responded to a report of larceny from a motor vehicle (over $200) outside of 74 Medford St., around 12:41 a.m. 
  • Officers responded to a verbal dispute at 113 Bunker Hill St. at 6:42 a.m.

Sunday, April 24

  • Police responded to two reports of vandalism. Around 4 a.m., there was a report at 9 Carney Court and around 4 p.m., there was another call at 23 Tufts St.
  • Police responded to multiple reports of larceny from a motor vehicle. Reports came in from 88 Constitution Road around 7:25 p.m., 6 Monument Sq., around 6 p.m., Medford Street around 8 p.m.

Monday, April 25

  • Around 5:39 p.m., an officer on detail at the Bunker Hill Mall observed a suspect in the passenger seat of a a gray Ford Explorer remove a white rock-like substance from a clear plastic bag containing several green pills. The suspect prepared the rock in a crack pipe. The officer knocked on the driver's side window and ordered the suspect to turn over the drugs. The suspect initially denied having drugs, according to police reports, but "after further convincing," the report states, the suspect reached into his mouth and removed another plastic bag containing five green pills, identified as Klonopin. He also retrieved a crack pipe from under his leg, where he was seated, and a syringe containing a brown liquid believed to be heroin, the police report states. The suspect was identified and summoned to court. 
  • Officers cited an individual with possession of a Class D drug (marijuana, etc) outside of 103 Old Ironsides Way at 4:30 p.m. 
  • A man was stabbed on Vine Street around 8 p.m. on Monday night. When police arrived on the scene, the victim was lying on his back on a cement park bench; his shirt was lifted up to his shoulders and he was applying pressure to a bleeding chest wound with paper towels. The victim told officers he was stabbed while walking on Decatur Street, near the intersection with Medford Street. The victim said he knew the identity of his assailant, but refused to disclose his name to police. The victim was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital and treated for two 4-inch lacerations to the upper chest.
