Chelmsford Man Alleged Drunk Driver Kills Highway Worker on I-93: UPDATE
A man was charged with drunk driving and vehicular homicide - the second time a highway worker has been hit in two days.

For the second time in as many days, an allegedly drunk driver hit a highway worker - this time in a fatal instance.
A Chelmsford man has been charged with motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence of liquor after striking an East Bridgewater man who was working on a highway line-painting job on Interstate 93 North early Monday morning.
At around 2:45 a.m., an employee of a highway line-painting contractor was hit and killed on 93 North in Medford, near Exit 33. State Police placed the operator, a 31-year-old Chelmsford man, under arrest.

James Scoville was charged with motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence of liquor. He was arraigned shortly before 3 p.m. in Somerville District Court.
State Police identified the victim as Thomas O’Day, 52, of East Bridgewater.

Scoville failed field sobriety tests and blew a .13 on the breathalyzer test, WBZ reported prosecutors as saying. Bail was set at $2,500.
According to the State Police, preliminary crash investigation revealed that Scoville collided with O'Day, who was working for Hi-Way Safety Systems. O'Day was on foot grabbing traffic cones following a line painting operation.
A second company worker, a 33-year-old Taunton man, was on the rear of a company truck that was hit by the suspect. He sustained minor injuries.
This incident is under investigation.
A MassDOT worker was seriously hurt early Monday morning inside the Ted William Tunnel, struck by an allegedly drunken driver.
The driver, Carlos M. Gonzalez, 59, of Boston, fled the scene, but was later arrested, according to police. The victim, a 60-year-old man, was transported to Boston Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
