For the second time this month, an individual has fled from police on foot near the area of Billerica Road. At approximately 2:15 a.m., the operator of a vehicle involved in a crash on Route 3 Northbound near the exit to Billerica Road fled from Massachusetts State Police, prompting pursuit from Chelmsford Police cruisers and the force's K9 unit. By around 2:30 a.m., the individual was located by Billerica Police, and placed them under arrest. Chelmsford Fire Department personnel were also needed due to a fire that started in one of the cars related in the crash.
