Autumnal Instrumental Concert in Chelmsford

Sunday, September 28th at the Chelmsford Center for the Arts.

Looking for the perfect way to spend a fall afternoon? Look no further than Autumn Walk in the Woods: Presented by the Delphinium Duo!

Join us in the Chelmsford Center for the Arts auditorium on Sunday, September 28th at 3:00 pm as flutist Jessica Smith and pianist Michelle Madasamy share a concert celebrating the autumn equinox - the time of year filled with reflection, transition, and vibrancy. The concert will include contemporary pieces covering a wide spectrum of fall moods - from nostalgic to haunting.

Come along as they walk the autumnal countryside with Cecil Chaminade’s Autumn. You will hear film/television composer (of the Gilmore Girls) Herman Beeftink’s mischievous ravens in the distance. You might find time to contemplate the season while listening to Pulitzer Prize and Grammy Award winning composer Jennifer Higdon’s Autumn Reflection.

In between performances, they'll share inspiring stories about how composing as a creative outlet helped through times of great uncertainty, or how another composer finally fulfilled a deferred dream in his sixties. Join them as they travel down a path lined with fallen leaves, vibrant hues, and the stories in music of Autumns present and past.

Tickets on sale now at www.chelmsfordarts.org! Regular tickets $20, student tickets $5.
