On December 18th, the CCA Writers Group will be hosting a release party for their first ever published work: Somewhere Stories, in the Cabaret Cafe. Featuring a collection of prose, poetry and dramatic writing, don’t miss out on this celebration of local writing talent!

Originally one of the ancient Chinese martial arts, Tai Chi is practiced today primarily as a method of exercise that cultivates physical and mental harmony in movement. Its slow, fluid forms—based on the Chinese principle of yin and yang—and its emphasis on relaxed, effortless movement makes it ideal for people of all ages. In this 8 session class you will learn the first section of the traditional Yang-style of long-form Tai Chi.

In 2019 and 2024 Eugene competed with other students of this style in Taiwan and took first place in basic form both times. His free hand and weapons Tai Chi forms have taken first place at I.P.P.O.N.E. and Virtual World Tournaments competitions.
