Chelmsford High Students Inducted Into French, Spanish Honor Societies

CHELMSFORD, MA —Forty-five Chelmsford High School students were inducted into language national honor societies during a September event, the school said.

At the event held on Sept. 22 at the school's Carl J. Rondina Performing Arts Center, 16 students were inducted into the French National Honor Society and 29 students were inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society.

Students are invited to apply for the French National Honor Society or Spanish National Honor Society if they have received at least a 90 percent grade in French or Spanish class for three consecutive years, school officials said.

At the induction event, each society also announced its newly elected CHS officers.

For the French National Honor Society: senior Narissa Al-Dayaa will serve as the president, senior Sophie Russell was named vice president, senior Hannah Wolman is the secretary and seniors Katherine Sanroma and Sriya Yerasu will share the role of treasurer.

For the Spanish National Honor Society: senior Sabrina Boutlane was named the president, senior Nathaniel Murray will be the vice president, senior Akhila Garre was named secretary and senior Divya Sambasivan will serve as treasurer.

Mairin Chagnon is the faculty advisor for the French National Honor Society and Jessica Ferronetti is the faculty advisor for the Spanish National Honor Society, according to school officials.
