Chelmsford Town Meeting Votes to Fund Police Contracts
The vote comes after the state Joint Labor Management Committee for Police and Fire awarded retroactive salary increases.

Chelmsford’s Town Meeting Representatives were nearly unanimous Tuesday on their passage of the single article in the Special Town Meeting Warrant.
The representatives voted 115-1 to fund arbitration awards for the patrol officers’ and sergeants’ unions. The $420,695 will come from the town’s stabilization fund and is partially for the Chelmsford Police Association and partially for the Chelmsford Superior Officers, according to the Lowell Sun.
The Spring Annual Town Meeting will take place on April 25, 2016.
