Badges were pinned to the chests of the three newest members of Chelmsford's Fire Department in a ceremony on North Road last Friday.
Scott Gallant, Dan Kohl and Nick Hamilton were welcomed aboard while members of the department who served above and beyond the call of duty during the Woodcrest Fire and a truck rollover near the Route 3/495 cloverleaf earlier this year were honored along with Michael Ducharme and Chhunly Prak, whose work helped save a woman's life this summer.
The trio will conclude their work at the State Fire Academy in December.
