Memorial Day ceremony takes place at Vinal Square, following the parade Monday morning.

Chelmsford’s Memorial Day parade and ceremony will take place on Monday, May 25.

Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It is a day for our nation to remember, reflect upon and honor those who have given their all in service to their country.

This year marks marks the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima. During this battle 6,035 American soldiers were killed.

Memorial Day Parade

Chelmsford’s Memorial Day Parade will take place in North Chelmsford. It will begin on Monday morning, May 25 at 10 a.m. at the Alberton W. Vinal American Legion Post 313, which is located at 90 Groton Road (Rte. 40).

The parade proceeds down Groton Road to the common in Vinal Square (Rte. 3A).

Memorial Day Ceremony

Following the parade, a Memorial Day ceremony will take place at Vinal Square. State Representative Thomas Golden will be the honored speaker.
