UPDATED: Police Searching for Man Who Robbed Chelmsford Bank

Citizens Bank inside Stop & Shop was robbed Sunday afternoon.

CHELMSFORD, MA - The Citizens Bank inside Stop & Shop on Chelmsford Street was robbed Sunday afternoon.

According to Chelmsford police, the man pictured in the included photos passed a note demanding money to a teller at the bank at about 2:20 p.m. Sunday. No weapon was brandished and no one was harmed in the incident.

The man escaped with an undetermined amount of money and got into a blue Toyota RAV4 driven by a woman wearing a pink sweatshirt. The man was wearing a hooded green striped sweatshirt and a hat underneath.

Police said the vehicle had a bumper sticker in the lower right section of the rear window.

“This investigation is open and ongoing,” Chelmsford Police Chief James Spinney said. “Anyone who was in the area at the time of the robbery, or who recognizes these suspects, is asked to immediately call the Chelmsford Police Department.”
