Monday, Sept. 7

At 1:58 a.m., police investigated a burning smell on Horseshoe Road.

At 9:17 a.m., a suspicious man was reported on Amble Road.

At 11:19 a.m., a residential breaking and entering was reported on Amble Road.

At 4:11 p.m., a suspicious man, possibly a solicitor, was reported on Kelshill Road.

At 9:41 p.m., police were called to Parkhurst Road to check on a possible stolen vehicle.

Tuesday, Sept. 8

At 12:14 p.m., the railroad crossing equipment was reported to be malfunctioning on School Street.

At 3:20 p.m., a skunk problem was reported on McFarlin Road.

At 3:56 p.m., a minor motor vehicle crash occurred on Groton Road near the Westford line. The drivers involved were reported to be arguing.

At 5:32 p.m., a large tree fell in High Street and took down wires.

At 11:40 p.m., an employee reportedly stole $900 from a Drum Hill Road business. Police subsequently arrested Braulio Terres, 42, of Lawrence on charges of larceny of property over $250.
