Chelmsford High School decided to produce two musicals this school year and they were repaid with a record-setting 36 TAMY awards. Here's the full story, in case you missed it.
CHELMSFORD, MA - Chelmsford High School tried something new this year.
For the first time in the school’s history, CHS produced two musicals in one academic year, and they saw immediate results.

Just days after the final showing of its second production, “The Robber Bridegroom,” the school received a record-setting 36 TAMY Award nominations.
The school’s first production, “The Sound of Music,” received 20 nominations and “The Robber Bridegroom” received 16, but they both are nominated for Best Overall Production.

The awards will be presented at the TAMY Awards Gala on May 22 at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School in Fitchburg.
The evening begins at 5 p.m. with a reception, followed by hot and cold appetizers, a slide show of production photos, a guest speaker and performances by the nominees in the Best Actor/Actress categories. Tickets are $22.
The award program, which is sponsored by The Theater at the Mount, recognizes the extraordinary amount of work, creativity and devotion that faculty and students put into their high school musical productions.
