One person was transported to an area hospital following a Thursday crash just before noon in Chelmsford. A report came in for a three-car crash on Route 3 at the Interstate 495 interchange. Massachusetts State Police were on scene of the crash, which occurred at about 11:20 a.m. As a result of the crash, the southbound lanes were shut down and on person was transported to the hospital. The extent of the injuries were not known as of 11:45 a.m. Check back with Chelmsford Patch for more information on the accident as they become available.
