Six Chelmsford High Seniors Named Students Of The Month For September
The Chelmsford Rotary Cub has sponsored the Student of the Month program for over 30 years.

CHELMSFORD, MA —Six seniors at Chelmsford High School were named last week as the Lions Pride/Rotary Students of the Month for September.
The Chelmsford Rotary Club has sponsored the Student of the Month program for over 30 years. The winners, who were announced by CHS Principal Stephen Murray, were chosen for their achievements in and out of the classroom. The students come from each of the school's three academic houses: Emerson House, Hawthorne House and Whittier House.

Rishi Ajmera: He is in the National Honor Society and was selected as a 2022 graduation class marshal, which allowed him to lead out the graduates of Emerson House at last spring's Commencement.
Ajmera currently serves as the captain of the speech and debate team, he is the co-president of the Investment Club and Chess Club, a board member of the Coding Club, is treasurer of the Physics Club and is involved in Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA). He also founded two nonprofit organizations which help students with test preparation and tutoring.

Arjun Lingala: He is a member of both the National Honor Society and the National English Honor Society, and he has been on the high honor roll throughout his time at CHS. Lingala was chosen to serve as the class marshal for the 2022 Commencement and has one of the highest grade point averages in Emerson House.
Lingala is on the speech and debate team and, along with fellow honoree Preteek Motagi, is ranked No. 2 in the state and No. 64 in the country in the public forum debate format. Lingala also is a member of the Give Club, LIME, CHSTV and the science team and he is treasurer of the Red Cross Club. He also is involved with the nonprofit Closing the Divide.
Prateek Motagi: He is the president of the Student Council and a member of three national honor societies — the National Honor Society and the Science and English honor societies. Motagi won the 2022 Yale Book Award and was named an AP Scholar with Distinction.
Additionally, Motagi earned academic All-America honors with the speech and debate team as a junior and he is ranked in the state and nationally, alongside fellow honoree Arjun Lingala, in the public forum debate format. Motagi also is involved with CHS Mentors, LIME, Peer Tutoring and the science and robotics teams. Additionally, Motagi is involved with the nonprofit Closing the Divide.
Divya Sambasivan: She is a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish and English honor societies. Sambasivian received the Harvard Club Boston Book Award in June and is a member of the CHS speech and debate team. She also is a member of the science team, is the editor of The Voice and is involved in the Interact Club.
Additionally, Sambasivian, who plays piano, finished second at the 2022 Crescendo International Music Competition.
Marty Coleman: He was the class marshal for Whittier House during the 2022 Commencement. Coleman is among the top academically-ranked students in Whitter House and is a member of the National Honor Society and the English and World Languages honor societies.
Coleman received the Dartmouth College Book Award and AP Scholar with Distinction honors. He also was elected as the Class of 2023 president in June and is a member of Class Representatives, the Freshman Mentor Program, DECA, Student Council and the ski team. He also is involved with Silverline Tutoring, a nonprofit that provides tutoring at no cost.
Keval Patel: He is a member of the National Honor Society and the English Honor Society. Patel was a class marshal for Whittier House for the 2022 Commencement and he received the College of William and Mary Leadership Book Award for his academic achievements.
Patel is a member of the track and field team, the Physics Club and the Robotics Club. He also volunteers at ProRehab Physical Therapy.
