The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for Northern Middlesex county, including Chelmsford.
Their warning was released at 2:24 p.m. and will last until 3:15 p.m.
The eye of the current storm hitting Chelmsford was located near Lancaster and was moving northeast at 25 mph.
The National Weather Service is advising residents to take cover now and go to a basement or interior room on the lowest floor of a building away from windows.
