Tornado Warning Issued

A tornado warning was issued for Andover, Chelmsford, Tewksbury and Westford on Saturday evening.

The tornado warning was in effect until 5:15. A tornado had not be spotted but a storm moving through the area was capable of producing a tornado, according to the National Weather Service. The storm was headed from Tyngsborough east at 30 miles per hour.

Residents were encouraged to go to the basement or an interior room on the first floor until the storm has passed.
