Congresswoman Niki Tsongas will be taking to Twitter and Facebook to highlight people, places and things in the Massachusetts’ Third Congressional District each Thursday, and she’s looking for recommendations.
The intiative, called “Third District Thursdays,” is an attempt to introduce constituents to communities throughout the district, which stretches from Haverhill and Winchendon along the New Hampshire border down to Marlborough.
Things began on the Fourth of July with a post from Concord.

“I have made it a priority to ensure accessibility and communication are hallmarks of my Congressional office,” said Congresswoman Tsongas. “With Third District Thursdays, we will be letting the world know about the extraordinary people and places that make up our corner of America. I am excited to get this initiative going and hope (constituents) will follow along and participate.”
Anyone from Chelmsford or elsewhere can participate by heading to Tsongas’ Facebook page or Twitter feed and adding in the hashtag #3DThursday next to their comment.
