UPDATED: Man Involved in Staged Armed Robbery in Custody

Police were looking for Christopher McBride as a suspect in a staged armed robbery Sunday night.

Tewksbury Police announced Tuesday afternoon that Christopher McBride, one of three men involved in staging an armed robbery over the weekend, is in custody.

Lowell Police and Massachusetts State Police assisted in finding the wanted suspect.

Earlier Tuesday, Tewksbury Police were seeking any information as to the whereabouts of Christopher McBride, 23, of 33 Spring St. in Lowell. McBride also goes by the alias of Christopher Payne.

McBride was wanted for staging an armed robbery on Nov. 8 of the Mobil Mart Gas Station in town. Police said Tuesday morning they believed he may be in the Lowell area. It’s not yet known where McBride was found.

Tewksbury Police arrested two other Lowell men, both employees at the Mobil Mart, for their involvement in staging that robbery.
