What's Up in Chelmsford Local Government For The Week After July Fourth

Summer’s here, but there are still things going on in local government. Here are a few things to keep on the radar for this week and beyond.

·         On Tuesday, the School Committee is expected to discuss capital budget planning as well as a self-evaluation of its performance.

·         Also on Tuesday, the Permanent Building Committee will meet on a variety of subjects, with another meeting on Thursday specifically to discuss issues related to rebuilding of the Chelmsford Country Club clubhouse.

·         There will be another site plan update for the reborn Stop and Shop Plaza at the Planning Board meeting on Wednesday, as well as discussions related to construction at the McCarthy School.

·         And just a reminder if you’re heading to Town Hall for public hearings, for things during the day, or even baseball games down the hill, construction has begun as of last week on the new fire station (pictured). The ballfields and the food pantry can be accessed via Chelmsford Street.
