We are now offering a LGBTQ+ Social Group. The group regularly meets at the COA on the last Thursday of each month at 5:30 PM. However, due to the Christmas holidays, it will meet on the third Thursday this month – on December 18th from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Open to Concord older adults, friends, and allies, this welcoming space offers food, entertainment, and engaging activities, all made possible through a special grant. Please call to sign up.

Join Artist-in-Residence Tom Flint and his students for a YOUTH FILM PREMIERE Tuesday, December 16 at 5:15 PM 

Walk the red carpet through the gallery into The Umbrella's Theater 144 for a free premiere of youth short films, followed by a Q&amp;A with the filmmakers! This event is a celebratory culmination of Artist-in-Residence Tom Flint's Fall Semester Classes and features student films and a short documentary about their creation. 
Light concessions available for purchase. Or, add on a Saltbox Kitchen Meal to enjoy after the screening for just $25! Order before Monday, December 15 at 12 PM.

Enjoy the best of classic, independent, and foreign films curated by The Concord Film Project at The Umbrella Arts Center, with pre-show dinner options. 
This December, join us for My Penguin Friend (2024, dir. David Schurmann, rated PG), a family-friendly film based on the true story of a lonely fisherman who unexpectedly finds companionship with a South American Magellan penguin. The film runs 1 hour and 37 minutes. Optional pre-show dinners from Saltbox Kitchen are available; order before Mon, Dec 15 at 12 PM. Film tickets are $12.50, meals are an additional $25. Concessions are available for purchase at the event.

Have you ever wondered how music creates the perfect mood in a movie or builds the suspense? This Film Music Composition Workshop is your exclusive chance to step into the composer’s chair!
Through an exciting, interactive group project, students will learn directly from composer and CCM faculty member <a href="https://concordconservatory.org/faculty/manuel-garcia-baro/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Manuel Garcia-Baro</a> how music is used to convey specific emotions and drama across different visual media.
You’ll get hands-on experience in music composition by planning the soundtrack for an unforgettable scene from the popular movie How to Train Your Dragon. This unique workshop offers practical insight into the creative process of professional film scoring.
Who Should Attend? This dynamic composition workshop is designed for students ages 10-18 who are curious about music composition or film scoring.

Bring yourself, your voice, and your big hearts! We invite you to join us at our Community Chanukah Celebration &amp; Dinner following Tot Shabbat.

The Sudbury Art Association is an organization which is dedicated to promoting the arts and showcasing local artists. Throughout the year we take part in events and and shows to bring attention to our growing arts community and our beautiful town. We also offer our members the opportunity to participate in two shows, a one day show in the spring and the annual Holiday Market.

One of our most popular events is our Holiday Market. The Holiday Market is a five week pop up shop featuring Art Association members from Sudbury and our surrounding towns. this year's dates are November 18 - December 23. This will be our 16th year and we will feature 30 artists, plus a series of 5 visiting artists who will show for a one week period throughout the show.

There is a broad range of the arts represented including: Painting, pottery, jewelry, fiber arts, wood working, metal art, glass blowing, paper arts, print making, and soap making.
As part of our community outreach, this year&nbsp;we are happy to have a drop off point for the Sudbury Food Pantry. Please drop off canned or boxed food when you come to shop or are just driving by. The box is right inside the door. Thank you for your help!
