Concord Officials Celebrate $32M 'Green' Development

Brookside Square includes 74 luxury apartments and 36,000 square feet of commercial space.

Concord officials last week held a ceremony to celebrate the opening of Brookside Square, a $32 million development hailed as a progressive mixed-use project designed with sustainability in mind.

Brookside Square includes 74 luxury apartments and 36,000 square feet of commercial space. Oaktree FX built the development, which is located a short walking distance to the West Concord rail station.

“We hope that Brookside Square will serve as a model for other developers seeking to create green, transit-oriented, mixed-use developments,” said Gwendolen Noyes, of Oaktree, in a statement. ““The complex is right on the rail with easy access to Boston and Cambridge, and is a short walk to shops and restaurants as well as walking and biking trails. Brookside Square is the epitome of the Live, Work, Play concept.”
