Concord Teacher Salaries Compared to Nearby Towns

WBUR compiled a state-wide list of teacher salaries. See how they compare for Concord and the surrounding area.

Editor's note: This article was updated with the most recent salary data from the 2009-2010 school year available on the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education website.

WBUR created a map showing how average teacher salaries compare across Massachusetts, and Concord Public Schools' average K-12 teacher salary is the second highest on the list we compiled below.

On the map, the darker the city or town, the higher the average salary. The map can be viewed for elementary teacher salaries (red), middle school salaries (green) and high school salaries (blue).

We had to make some minor changes, as Matt Wilder, Boston Public Schools' director of media relations, pointed out on last week that WBUR used outdated numbers from the 2008-2009 school year in creating their map.
