Emerson Maternity Nurses Give Birth In Emerson Hospital

CONCORD, MA — Two Emerson Hospital nurses mixed work and family for a special moment: they gave birth to their children in the same ward they work in.

Nurse Connie is a labor and delivery nurse and Nurse Beth is a maternity nurse. Both nurses gave birth within the same week in August to healthy babies in Emerson's maternity ward.

The coincidences don't stop there, Beth also happened to give birth to her son Benjamin in the same room that her husband was born in 30 years ago. But wait, it gets better — Beth's mother-in-law is a nurse on Emerson's Labor and Delivery team.

"We wish the families much happiness and good health," the hospital posted to the new parents.
