Police Log: Alleged Dastardly Dog Treatment, a Suspicious Cigarette Purchase
The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Aug. 22
12:18 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report checking on two people in the park next to Club Car Café in West Concord. The men had just finished work at Dunkin’ Donuts, the incident report said.
7:35 a.m. – An abandoned 911 call came in from Emerson Hospital. Security confirmed there was no emergency.

12:07 p.m. – A Concord woman reported losing her passport and visa somewhere between Boston and Concord.
6:16 p.m. – A woman called from the White Pond Association Beach to report she observed a man “being rough” with his dog and he used abusive language toward her when she approached him about it. The responding officer checked the area, but the man—described as a white man, with a slender build, black-and-gray hair and back tattoos—was gone on arrival.

7:10 p.m. – A 911 hang-up came in from Lowell Road. On the callback, police confirmed it was accidental.
7:25 p.m. – An employee from the Route 2 Mobil station requested a welfare check on a man dressed in scrubs who appeared to have a black eye when he came in to buy cigarettes. The responding officer reported the man, who left in a cab, was gone on arrival, and that Emerson Hospital reported no one had left the ER against medical advise.
