Police Log: Car-Breaks, Noise Complaints and Speeding SUVs

The following information was provided by the Concord Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Sept. 27

5:12 a.m. – A 911 hang-up came in from the Beede Center. It was a successful text of the pool deck call box, according to the incident report.

7:10 a.m. – Mass State Police relayed a report of a disabled motor vehicle in the vicinity of Barretts Mill Road. A trooper had moved the vehicle off of the roadway, the police confirmed it was not a hazard.

9:01 a.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle break on Bedford Street that occurred sometime overnight. According to the incident report, the vehicle showed no sign of a break, but an iPod was missing.

9:34 a.m. – A Ridgeway Road resident walked into the station to report a motor vehicle break occurred the previous night, and her purse was found in a neighbor’s yard.

10:15 a.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident at Emerson Field near the softball field.

12:12 p.m. – An alarm activation came in from Farmer’s Cliff Road. It was confirmed as accidental by the caretaker.

12:37 p.m. – A 911 misdial came in from Laws Brook Road.

4:12 p.m. – A Silver Hill Road resident walked into the police station lobby to report a lost trailer plate.

4:53 p.m. – Police responded to a reported traffic complaint of a woman in a black SUV speeding down Highland Street daily.

4:56 p.m. – A Concord Greene resident reported receiving multiple phone calls within a short period of time.

5:17 p.m. – Multiple calls came in reporting a gray Toyota sedan parked on Bedford Street jutting out into the travel lane. The vehicle was moved by its owner.

10:42 p.m. – A 911 call came in reporting a noise complaint involving a loud engine noise from a revving car on Bedford Street. The responding officer reported no noise observed in the area; but it could have been from a boat in the river.
