June 20

10:28 p.m. - Police responded to a report of a man pulling on doors at the Exxon on Washington Street. Officers at the scene found the man sitting in a vehicle, which he said he was inside so he could call his brother. He also stated that he was trying to buy the motor vehicle because he was at a car dealership. A shopping cart from Dick’s Sporting Goods was also found at the scene. Because he could not provide a legitimate reason for being in a motor vehicle and for stating that he was at a car dealership when he was not, the suspect was arrested and charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle in the nighttime and shoplifting of a shopping carriage.
