Dedham Info Session On East St. Bridge Reconstruction March 30.

To help the Town gather public comments for submittal to the MBTA, the Select Board will be hosting a virtual community session for the East Street Bridge Reconstruction Project on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.

The Select Board, joined by Town staff, welcome all comments regarding the MBTA project to include in the Town’s packet to the MBTA Project Team. The Select Board and Town Staff will begin the session with a brief statement before opening it up to receive comments from those in attendance. Each participant will receive three minutes to share their comments, and each will be recorded for inclusion in the report shared with the MBTA Project Team.

The MBTA Project Team hosted a virtual public information session on December 9, 2021 to introduce themselves to the community and to share their plans at the 30% design phase. Prior to that meeting, the MBTA set up a project-specific website, www.mbta.com/EastStBridge, to house their notifications, project status updates, background information, recording of the meeting, and presentation slides. In early March, the project team shared a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document with the Town that summarized the comments received during the December meeting that are available on the project website and were shared by the Town on March 4, 2022.

The project is still in the design phase and the MBTA Project Team has indicated to the Town they will host another public meeting before the final designs are complete. The meeting date/time will be shared when the information is available.
