Around 2:45 a.m., a vehicle seemingly parked at the intersection of Legacy Boulevard and Providence Highway, was approached by police officers. The officers saw a man who was asleep at the wheel. The vehicle, a hybrid car, appeared to be off.

The driver was asked to step out of the vehicle. There wasn’t a smell of alcohol on his breath or anything similar that would hinder his ability to drive safely. The man said he sometimes sleeps in his car before work when he has a night shift followed by an early shift. The scene was cleared after it was determined that the man was not on any medications or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Officers responded to Condon Park around 1:14 a.m. for a reported assault. Two women, who had just attended a party in Hyde Park, were spoken to. There were no issues at the party but the women got into a car with some friends in hopes of being dropped off at home. One of the other women in the car commented that she did not like who those women were hanging out with at the party. The two argued before one of them called her sister to request that she pick her up.

The driver stopped at the Bussey and Colburn streets and let out the woman who was yelling. That individual walked over to the backseat car window to continue the altercation. She pulled the other woman out of the car by her hair. The sister of the woman who was pulled out of the car arrived and tried to help her. She contained the attacker and placed her back into the car before leaving with her sister. A report was written up.
