Dedham Town Manager Responds To Indictment of BOA Head
Town Manager Leon Goodwin said that the charges were unrelated to her work for the town.
DEDHAM, MA - A joint investigation conducted by the FBI and the Plainville, Massachusetts Police Department led to the indictment of Cheryl Sullivan, a Dedham resident and chair of the Board of Assessors.
Sullivan was arraigned today in U.S. District Court in Providence, Rhode Islandon five counts of wire fraud. Read related Patch coverage here.
“The Town has been made aware of the indictment and the allegations against Ms. Sullivan,” said Town Manager Leon Goodwin. “We as the Town take these charges very seriously and would like to assure the public that they are not related to her work as an elected official to the Board of Assessors.”

Town officials declined further comment.
Sullivan was first elected to the Board of Assessors in 2018 and was re-elected in 2021.
