Dogs Left In Hot Car, Larceny: Dedham Police Log

July 23

12:12 p.m. - A person on Norwell Road was charged with larceny under $1,200.

9:49 a.m. - Two vehicle crashed on Needham Street. One person was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

1:58 p.m. - Counterfeit currency was reported at AC Moore at the Dedham Mall on Providence Highway.

8:34 p.m. - Two dogs were left in a car on the second level of the Legacy Place parking garage. An officer at the shopping center noted that the windows of the cars were open about four or five inches and the outside temperature was 82 degrees, with the inside of the car warmer. The owner of the vehicle attempted to make excuses for why he left the dogs in the car ranging from the temperature not being hot to him leaving the dogs in his car is no one else’s business. The officer said he needed to take some responsibility and never do that again. Needham Police indicated that they have been to the man’s home for animal complaints in the past.

10:38 p.m. - A driver on Elm Street was issued a citation for marked lanes violation.

July 25

11:15 a.m. - About $8,000 in damage to a parking garage door at Station Circle was reported.

5:22 p.m. - A person man on Bridge Street was arrested on a warrant.

July 27

1:01 a.m. - A vehicle crashed into a pole on Walnut Street. The driver was cited for a marked lanes violation.
