Firefighters Knock Down Blaze at Dedham BJ's

Firefighters in Dedham extinguished a heavy fire at BJ’s Wholesale Club Tuesday evening.

Heavy smoke was billowing from the building on the Providence Highway when crews arrived, according to Fire Chief Bill Spillane.

The fire required considerable work to extinguish, but it was ultimately contained and knocked down.

The cause of the fire was not immediately made clear. No injuries were reported.

Westwood and Boston fire crews assisted at the scene.
