Shoplifting, Car Break-In: Dedham Police Log

August 10
3:14 p.m. - Two shoplifters were reported in a cab that fled the CVS on Eastern Avenue and Providence Highway. The cab was pulled over near Tahiti and the two women were taken into custody. One person was charged with shoplifting items worth less than $1,200 and the other was charged with shoplifting by asportation (second offense).

3:05 p.m. - A driver on Providence Highway was issued a citation for operating with expired registration and operating with an expired registration sticker.

5:20 p.m. - A person at DSW Shoes on Providence Highway was issued a citation for wrongful use of a handicapped placard.
August 14
5:20 p.m. - An officer observed a Hyundai fail to stop at a stop sign at Wilson Avenue and Orchard Street. The drive was arrested on a warrant and issued a citation for failure to stop.
August 15
12:40 a.m. - A car break-in was reported in the Reed Street, Pratt Avenue, Border Street area. The suspect was arrested and charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime with the intent to commit a misdemeanor and minor in possession of alcohol.
