Town Of Dedham: Town Of Dedham To Distribute At-Home COVID-19 Tests To Vulnerable Residents

The Town of Dedham has purchased a limited supply of at-home COVID-19 tests to distribute to residents disproportionately impacted by the pandemic using available funds through the American Rescue Plan Act, commonly referred to as “ARPA”. Distribution of tests will begin on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

To facilitate the distribution of tests, the Dedham Health Department is partnering with community organizations including the Dedham Housing Authority, the Council on Aging, and the Veterans Services Office. Each organization will contact eligible residents directly and coordinate the delivery of one at-home test for each resident. The following criteria was used to determine resident eligibility:

The Town has prepared instructions and additional information that will be provided with each test, including what to do if the test is positive and how to track isolation and quarantine periods.

At this time, the at-home test distribution is a ONE-TIME-ONLY resource for residents that fit the criteria above and has been established to prioritize those in need within our community. The Town is actively seeking additional opportunities to provide at-home COVID-19 tests to more Dedham residents in the future.
