Town Of Dedham: Winter Parking Ban In Effect From 8PM January 28 To 7AM January 31

This long-duration storm is expected to produce a lot of snow that may be heavy at times and wind gusts that will cause snow to drift. Please be patient with snow removal crews as they work to ensure our roadways are plowed and accessible.

We encourage everyone to stay off the roads during the storm to allow for crews to remove the snow safely and efficiently. If you must travel during the storm, please plan for additional travel time and maintain a safe distance from other cars, trucks, plows, and snow removal equipment. Please remember to remove all snow from your vehicle prior to leaving.

During this ban, there is no parking on either side of the street. If you do not have a driveway, please follow the guidance below:

Please remember to keep all heat exhaust pipes clear of snow for safe circulation. Please check on family, friends, neighbors, and especially the elderly.

Closures

The Dedham Food Pantry will be closed on Saturday, January 29, 2022 due to the storm. Residents are asked to call on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

The Dedham Public Library will be closed on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Please visit the Dedham Public Library website and follow them on Facebook at @dedhampubliclibrary and on Instagram at @dedhampubliclibrary for additional updates and announcements.

Be a Snow Angel this Winter:

  • Clear the snow right after the storm has ended and set an example for your neighbors.
  • Make sure there is clear access to adjacent properties.
  • Offer to help others clear snow from their sidewalks if they need assistance.
  • If you have a vehicle, make sure it is not parked blocking the sidewalk.
  • If a fire hydrant is nearby, help the Fire Dept. by clearing snow around it.
