Good as New Shop is hosting its Holiday Season Half-Price Sale on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at the Unitarian Universalist Area Church, 11 Washington St., Sherborn, MA. 
This volunteer-run consignment shop offers a wide range of items, including special room full of holiday items for decorating, wearing, serving, gifting, as well as the usual assortment of new or gently used clothing for men, women &amp; children, linens, jewelry, home goods, bric-a-brac, books, puzzles and much more - all at half price. 
<ul>
 <li>Cash, checks, and credit cards (for sales over $10) are accepted.</li>
 <li>The shop will be closed on December 24, 2025 and December 31, 2025, </li>
 <li>Winter season starts January 7, 2026.</li>

Powisset Farm

Join us to celebrate the Winter Solstice in a wonderland of hiking, crafting, and playing games!
Our Powisset Pals will enjoy a guided hike along our StoryWalk. To warm up after the hike, we will head into the Powisset Kitchen to create a solstice inspired craft and play a “Snow Shovel” competition game.
This is a family program designed for children ages 5-11. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required. Minimum of 8 participants required for class to take place.

The lighting will be outdoors on the Green in front of of the Town Hall.It will begin promptly at 4:30 pm
Following the lighting, Refreshments and Celebration will move indoors right nearby&nbsp;in the meeting room at&nbsp;the Sherborn Police Station.
Fun entertainment with JOJO the Magician! Latkes, Hot Cocoa, refreshments, and Chanukah gelt&nbsp;(chocolate coins) will be distributed. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come - even if you are not a Sherborn resident.&nbsp;

Get into the holiday spirit with this festive baking class featuring a beautiful and tasty Cranberry Cake as well as Frosted Maple Butter Cookies.
Budding bakers will join Chef Camryn as she shares some of her favorite holiday recipes in the Powisset Farm kitchen. We will use local ingredients sourced from our farm whenever possible. This hands-on class is designed to be fun and creative, with plenty of time to experiment with different cookie-decorating techniques.
Included in this class:

Great Grains and Roasted Roots – Adult Cooking Class

Sourdough is one of the oldest forms of bread; in fact, it was the traditional breadmaking method for most of human history. Special guest chef Clarisse Maugis will ensure your success in this hands-on class, where you’ll learn to make a simple sourdough bread using staple pantry ingredients. C’est Magnifique!
Chef Clarisse is from the countryside north of Paris, where she grew up cooking beside her mother and grandmother. After earning a degree in hospitality, apprenticing in Michelin 3-star restaurants, learning from a Meilleur Ouvrier de France, and working in fine dining kitchens in France and St. Barth’s, she moved to the U.S. to learn to speak English. Chef Clarisse says, “French cooking is not difficult! Anyone can learn the techniques. All we need is to put our heart into it!”

The light of the full moon provides a mysterious and magical way to experience nature and the outdoors, including our upcoming Full Moon Hike on January 13!
Start 2026 at Powisset Farm with this unique guided hiking experience. The farm will be open after hours for you to enjoy a tranquil evening walk under a full moon as it waxes or wanes. Your guide will lead you along the farm trails as we take in views of the night sky and share an informal discussion about the traditional significance of January’s Wolf Moon.
Please note, although we love our four-legged friends, dogs are not allowed at Powisset Farm.

In this hands-on cooking class, Chef Thi will help you a create delicious cozy chowder. You’ll learn the techniques for creating a silky base, layering herbs, aromatics, and vegetables.
We’ll make local fish chowder with kale and root vegetables, vegan mushroom and potato chowder, and sop it up with homemade brown bread with herb butter. Perfect for cold days and cozy nights!
