MA Couple Find Cockroach In Food From Favorite Local Spot: Report

Following the report, the restaurant was found to have violated several sanitation standards.

EASTON, MA — A Massachusetts couple bugged out last month after finding a large dead cockroach in an order of fried rice from their "go-to" Chinese restaurant, according to a report in The Enterprise.

After finding "the body and leg sticking out" of the leftovers on May 16 — a day after they picked up the order from Easton Lucky Corner — lifelong residents Jessica and Ben Barsomian called the restaurant to complain but were met with a blasé reaction.

"They were apologetic, but they didn't really seem to care all that much," Jessica told the outlet. The restaurant's manager told The Enterprise they offered Jessica a 50 percent refund.

In response to the Barsomians' report to the Easton Health Inspector, the restaurant was inspected and found to be violating several sanitation standards.

The restaurant also failed its inspections from 2018 through 2023, the outlet reported.
