For eight years now Dream Prom and Occasion in Easton has been helping thousands of girls find just the right prom gown for their special night.

Dale said her mother Lisa got the idea to open the shop after finding out she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
“My mother and I are the owners and we have been involved in pageants for years. In 2005 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and it’s something that she always wanted to do. So she started dabbling and looking into it and it kept her mind off of the treatment and kept her busy and we opened shortly after that. So it’s a pretty cool way to start,” said Dale. She said her mom is doing great and is healthy.
White and red dresses were the most popular this year she said. Dresses with beading and one shoulder strap were also trendy.
“It used to be in years past where girls wanted the princess ball gowns and not so much anymore. They want the straight, sexier styles this year,” she said.
The dresses range from $70-$3,000 but most sell for about $200-$400.
“We try to carry a pretty broad range,” she said. “We try to have a price point for everybody.”
